Gerade habe ich festgestellt, dass die magische 20 geknackt wurde: die Zahl der Follower wächst. Da müsste ich zur Feier des Tages ja fast ein Freebie verlosen. Hm. Aber zuerst mal ein kurzer Bericht zu unserem letzten Kaffeeklatsch am vergangenen Wochenende. Wir nähern uns mit rasender Geschwindigkeit dem 20-jährigen Jubiläum: nächstes Jahr ist es soweit.

I just noticed that I finally reached 20 followers, yay! Now, wouldn’t that be a good occasion to have another blog candy? Mmh. But first let me tell you a bit about our recent coffeeklatsch last weekend. We are headed towards our 20th anniversary at a furious rate: it will be next year already!

Diese Dame und ihre Schwestern haben jeden Platz verziert. Sie gaben das Thema vor und hatten das Menü im Gepäck – von „Battenbergs“ über Petit Fours und Scones mit Lemon- und Himbeercurd war alles zu haben. Mit dem Tee hatten einige Teilnehmer allerdings Schwierigkeiten und es wurde auf den KAFFEEklatsch verwiesen. Der Abend brachte noch leckere Sandwichvariationen und die „Eton Mess„.

This lady and her sisters adorned every place. They introduced us to the motto and held on to the menu. There was „Battenbergs“ to be had, petit fours, scones with lemon and raspberry curd… Some participants were not too excited about tea and drew attention to the fact that it was a COFFEEklatsch after all. We had sandwich variations for dinner… topped off with a very yummy“Eton Mess„

Das Wetter war unerwartet schön (vor allem trocken), so dass wir noch ein ganzes Weilchen im Garten sitzen und quatschen konnten – unser kleiner Gast guckte sich die verrückten Tanten ungläubig an und dachte wahrscheinlich, dass er ja doch lieber Papa davon überzeugt hätte, beim nicht weit entfernt stattfindenden 24-Stunden-Rennen am Nürburgring dabei zu sein…

Surprisingly, the weather turned out to be really nice (and dry) so that we were sitting outside in the garden for quite a while gossiping away – our little guest was quite amazed about those crazy aunts and I’m pretty sure was thinking he’d better persuaded Dad to take him to the 24-hour race at the close-by Nürburgring that same day…

Und nun wird es wahr: die 20 Follower werden gefeiert! Ich hatte genug Zeit, mir das durch den Kopf gehen zu lassen. Ich verlose 2 Piccolos „Prisecco“ (ein alkoholfreier Fruchtcocktail, den ich in der Genuss-Schule Alfter kennengelernt habe) nach Wahl. Hier kann man sich informieren.
