Alleine Plätzchen backen macht nur halb soviel Spaß. Nach zwei Jahren ungewollter Pause war mein Freund Cyril wieder da und wir haben uns an Zuckerguss und buntem Streusel ausgetobt.

When you are by yourself, cookie baking is only half the fun. After an unplanned break of two years, my friend Cyril was back last week to indulge in icing and sprinkles.

Und ganz ehrlich: wenn ich mir diesen fantastischen Elch da rechts ansehe, wirken meine ja eher langweilig…

And when I look at that fantastic moose in the lower right corner, my own mooses look rather boring…

In der gleichen Woche ging es weiter mit Spritzgebäck – da ist mein Vater der passionierte Chefbäcker.

That same week we moved on to piped cookies – not only my Dad’s favorite cookies; he’s also a dedicated baker.

Wir hatten viel vor…

We aimed high…

.. aber wie immer hat es sich sehr gelohnt!

… but as usual it was well worth it!
