In den letzten Wochen hat der Jazzchor der Uni Bonn um den Preis „Bester Chor im Westen“ gekämpft – und in der Endausscheidung ganz knapp verloren. Es war ein Zuschauerentscheid und ich habe mir die Finger an zwei Apparaten wund telefoniert, aber es hat nicht gereicht. In der letzten Runde gaben sie ein Weihnachtslied:

The jazz choir of Bonn University has over the past weeks competed to become the „Best Choir in the West“ [read: in North Rhine Westphalia] – and came in second in the last round. The voting was not from the jury but from the audience and I used two phones simultaneously like a madwoman but it wasn’t enough. The very last performance was a German Christmas carol:

Sie haben ein großartiges Repertoire und die Konzerten waren schon vorher immer „standing room only“ – ich kann es wirklich kaum erwarten, bald noch mal zu einem zu gehen. Noch ein paar Eindrücke, genießt es:
