Lace… is this week’s prompt at Our Beuatiful World. Oh goodness, was my first thought. I’m not the type for lace. But then I remembered my preference for the old-fashioned cotton handkerchiefs and the fact that I always bought a year’s worth of creativity of an elderly lady from a neighboring village at the Christmas Bazaar. Apparently, there were never any other potential buyers…
It’s probably not lace in the strictest sense – but at least they are very fine work and smell of lavender, for all that it’s worth!
Ich wünsche euch eine gute Woche!
Have a good week everybody!
Barbara

Oh Barbara, what a beautiful handkerchiefs they are… I love what she did to the lacy edges, the beautiful colours and threads she used. Treasures they are. Thanks for sharing these beauties with us at OBW! I’m happy to see you joining us although „lace“ isn’t quite your cup of tea like you said 🙂 Hugs, Wendy

Of course its lace, beautiful crochet lace! Those hankies are gorgeous and bring back lots of fond memories. I used to crochet lace edgings for hankies when I was a little girl, and give them as presents to my grandmother and mother.
