Maus-Geburtstag / Mouse birthday

Wer kann dieser Maus widerstehen? Sie lag schon lange bei mir in der Warteschleife, ihre karnevalistische Version hatte ich bereits für eine Karte verwendet. Gestern hat sie die Glückwünsche zum Geburtstag überbracht und kann somit jetzt veröffentlicht werden 🙂 Und bei Seize the Birthday kommt sie auch noch rechtzeitig an!

Can you resist this mouse? She had been waiting for a while in my stash; I had so far only managed to present her carnival party version. Yesterday, she delivered my birthday greetings so today it’s time to publish her 🙂 And the card makes it in time to participate over at Seize the Birthday as well!

Kühles Blau / Cool Blue

Bei Bugaboo Stamps ist noch bis Monatsende alles 50% reduziert im Angebot… und ich habe mich dort etwas umgeschaut und das Pinguinmotiv dieser Karte gefunden.

Bugaboo Stamps offers 50% off the entire store until the end of the month so I had a look for more digis. Among a few others, I also chose the penguin motive of this card.

Und wie sich herausstellt, erfüllt die Karte die Voraussetzungen für gleich vier Challenges: Merry Monday möchte Herzen auf der Karte sehen (könnt ihr’s finden?!), Holly Jolly ist inspiriert von Weihnachtsliedern (bin ich das nicht immer? In diesem Fall: Joy to the World), bei CCAYR möchten sie Streifen und Punkte sehen (ich hoffe, ein Streifen reicht) und bei Sparkles Christmas Challenges geht es um Schleifenband, Spitze oder Kordel (hier fand silbernes Schleifenband Verwendung).

As luck would have it, the card qualifies for a total of four challenges: Merry Monday would like to see a heart included (can you find it ?!), Holly Jolly want us to be inspired by a Christmas carol (aren’t I always? In this case: Joy to the World), CCAYR is all about dots and stripes (I hope one stripe is sufficient to qualify) and then there’s Sparkles Christmas Challenges who would like to see ribbon, lace or twine included (there’s silver ribbon put to use here).

Geteilte Weihnachten / A Split Christmas…

Noch wenige Stunden ist die Challenge bei CASology offen, auf die ich durch Pennys Beitrag gestoßen bin. Ich habe ein ganzes Set mit Geburtstagskarten gemacht, die ein Cupcake ziert:

Schneller Gruß / Quick hello

Für eine Freundin, die Fische liebt, kommt es gesundheitlich gerade knüppeldick. Aus der Ferne erreichte mich die Nachricht etwas spät, so dass ich schnell eine kleine Überraschung schicken wollte – und schnell musste auch eine Karte her.

A friend who loves fishes has it coming at her thick and fast health-wise these days. I got the news from far away with some delay so I wanted to act quickly, sending her a little surprise – and needed a quick card to go with it.

Pinguine / Penguins

IMG_2200Zum Wochenendauftakt noch ein schneller Beitrag, bevor hier die ersten Besucher zu einem Afghanistan-Treffen aufschlagen. Und dazu Kirmes in Poppelsdorf – kann das Enten angeln und die Pommesbude kaum erwarten. Jedenfalls gibt es heute eine Pinguinkarte für die Challenge bei Merry Monday!

A quick pre-weekend post – I have four friends come over for an Afghanistan-Reunion. And there’s the fun fair in my neighborhood this weekend, too – we are all looking forward to go duck fishing (!) and having curry wurst. Anyway, here’s my penguin card for the challenge over at Merry Monday!

Dieses Motiv von Bugaboo Stamps habe ich nicht zum ersten Mal verwendet… gefällt mir immer wieder! Abschließend darf ich noch verkünden, dass ich bei ‚Tis The Season mit dieser Karte zum Shooting Star der Woche geworden bin. Darauf ein Stück Marmorkuchen 🙂 Schönes Wochenende!

Ausgefallen / Fancy

Wie gesagt: Babykarten sind in diesem Jahr mal wieder sehr gefragt… allerdings müsste ich eigentlich mal mehr Richtung Jungen oder zumindest neutraler agieren. Aber die vorliegenden Materialien gaben eben rosa vor. Aber für Umschlagdeko blieb auch noch etwas übrig:

I’ve mentioned it earlier: baby cards are high in demand this year… but really I would have to focus more on boys or at least a bit more neutral. I had some materials, though, part of a „crafting present“ I received, that were pink. And left a little somethig for the envelope as well:

Von allem ein bisschen / A little bit of this, a little bit of that

Ich kann es nur empfehlen: zur Abkühlung die Füße in einem Eimer mit kaltem Wasser unter dem Schreibtisch, Let It Snow als Hintergrundgedudel… und sich gedanklich mit der kalten Jahreszeit beschäftigen 🙂 Für die laufende Challenge bei Sparkles, wo es darum geht, Schleifenband, Spitze oder Zwirn zu benutzen, ist das dabei herausgekommen:

My recommendation: to cool down, keep your feet in a bucket with cold water under your desk, play Let It Snow… and focus your thoughts on the cold season 🙂 This is what I came up with for the current challenge over at Sparkles Christmas Challenges which is to use ribbon, lace or twine:

Just married

Letzte Woche bat mich eine Kollegin, eine Hochzeitskarte zu machen und das ist dabei herausgekommen:

Last week a colleague asked me to make a wedding card and this is what I came up with:

Die großen Herzen gab es irgendwann mal im schwedischen Möbelhaus meines Vertrauens. Und Pailletten habe ich mittlerweile in so ziemlich allen Farben. Ich stelle die Karte bei der Sister Act Card Challenge ein. Doch damit nicht genug, ich habe mir direkt auch noch eine weitere Karte überlegt:

I found these large hearts at the well-known Swedish furniture store a while ago. And by now I have sequins in all colors of the rainbow and beyond. Anyhow, I will enter it at the Sister Act Card Challenge, where „anything goes“ as usual. But I came up with a second idea, too, once I was at it:
