Ja, ja: ich wiederhole mich! Aber der Herbst ist wunderschön! Schon wieder so ein perfekter Tag. Und gestern auch. Auch wenn sich da zwei Typen über die Bäume hergemacht haben.

Well, well: I’m being repetitive! But this fall is gorgeous! Another perfect day. And yesterday was just like it. Even though there were two guys getting at our trees.

Ich mag es einfach nicht, wenn an Bäumen rumgesägt wird. Ich weiß, ich weiß: da sind jetzt mindestens zwei die sagen, dass das ja manchmal richtig und wichtig ist – und wenn es nur daran liegen kann, dass der Baum evtl. vielleicht irgendwann die nächsten 35 Jahre mal auf einen Geräteschuppen fällt. Der zugegebenermaßen auch den Grill beherbergt.

I just hate it when trees are being cut. Or cropped. I know, I know: there are at least two people who will let me know that it’s sometimes the right thing to do – and even if it’s only because the tree might have a chance of falling on a tool shed within the next 35 years or so. The tool shed that is also home to the barbecue grill.

Warum sollte man an diesem Baum was absägen?? Der ist doch schön! Und da ist auch nichts faul! (Okay, bei der Birke war was faul. Aber trotzdem.)

Why would anyone want to cut anything off that tree?? It’s beautiful as it is! And nothing’s rotten, either! (Okay, the birch tree had some rotten parts on it. But still.)

Am Kirschbaum haben sie auch rumgefummelt und als sie dann durch waren, wurden zwei Karren wie diese weggebracht. Kleiner Trost: wenigstens das Martinsfeuer 2011 ist gesichert.

After they had worked on the cherry tree as well, two carts like this were pulled out of the driveway. At least this year’s St. Martin’s bonfire has been taken care of.

Und sieht das jetzt soviel besser aus?! Oder sicherer? Ach, was soll’s, immerhin bleiben noch Ausblicke wie dieser:
