Es gibt häufig Bastler, die es schaffen, die Anforderungen von 10 Challenges oder mehr in eine Karte zu quetschen. Mir ist das meist zu viel Planung, zu wenig Spontaneität. Dann darf die Muse zu wenig küssen. Aber bei der Karte, die ich heute präsentiere, habe ich es auch mal immerhin auf drei geschafft. Bei Winter Wonderland heißt das Motto Girly Christmas…

There are some creative souls who manage to squeeze 10 or more challenges into the design of one single card. Usually, that’s too much planning for my taste, it doesn’t leave enough room for spontaneity. But I’m about to present a card that includes three challenges. The challenge at Winter Wonderland this week is Girly Christmas…

Mädchen: abgehakt. Und dann waren da noch die Humbuggers, die alles ins Zeichen von „Flourishes/Swirls“ gestellt haben…

Girls: done. Then there were the humbuggers who are going for flourishes/swirls this week…

Naja, die Swirls wird man erst in der Gesamtschau so richtig sehen. Fast in den Wahnsinn getrieben hat mich aber dann die Herausforderung der ABC Christmas Challenge. Erst dachte ich, sie sei der der Humbuggers sehr ähnlich, da nach spots, swirls oder stripes gefragt wurde (wir sind im ABC bei S angekommen). Aber da war noch ein Haken: es sollte außerdem eine shaped card sein, also in einer ausgefallenen Form.

Well, you’ll be able to fully appreciate the swirls only when seeing the card as a whole. Anyway, I almost went crazy trying to incorporate this fortnight’s challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge. First I thought it was pretty similar to that of the humbuggers as spots, swirls or stripes were requested (you guessed it: we’ve reached S). But there was catch: it’s also supposed to be a shaped card.

So kam das Skalpell dann auch nochmal zum Einsatz – und die großen Letter mit Glitter Glue abzusetzen hat Zukunft!
So finally my scalpel was put to good use again – and I think the large letters lined with glitter glue have potential!
