Wow, 01. September… Ich fasse es kaum. Und nachdem das Dahlien-Beet noch am 19. Mai wenig Anlass zur Hoffnung gab, macht es nun halt doch schon ein bisschen was her. Und die für die kommende Woche gemeldeten hohen Temperaturen sollten die Blüten endgültig rausbringen.

Wow, September 1 already… I can’t believe it. And after the bed for the dahlias didn’t look all too hopeful as late as May 19, it looks a whole lot better now. They’ve forecast really high temperatures again for the end of the coming week so that should take them to full bloom.

Und mit Blick auf das fortgeschrittene Jahr war ich auch wieder fleißig… Bei Sparkles Christmas Challenges heißt es diesen Monat: non-traditional colors, also moderne Farben, nicht die rot-grüne Schiene.

Seeing that this year is again zooming by I also have another Christmas ready to post. Over at Sparkles Christmas Challenges Jo wants us to create cards with non-traditional colors.

Das gewählte Motiv ist Cat-r-Pillar von Eureka Stamps… Ganz schön kleinteilig in dieser Größe, aber ich werde sicher auch noch andere ausprobieren.

The image I’ve chosen is Cat-r-Pillar by Eureka Stamps… Quite a lot of tiny patches to color in that size but I’m pretty sure I’ll experiment in other sizes in the future.
