Das war eine verrückte Woche, in vielfacher Hinsicht. Gedanklich war ich viel in Boston, bin es immer noch. Es ist irgendwie doch meine zweite Heimat. Es war weiter hektisch im Büro, aber ein Wunder ist auch passiert: ich konnte zwei Projektleiter für die DR Kongo an einem Tag rekrutieren. Da bin ich immer noch nicht drüber weg. Deswegen tat es heute gut, bei Sonne ein bisschen durch meinen geliebten Botanischen Garten zu flanieren.

It’s been a crazy week, in many ways. My thoughts were in Boston a lot of the time, and they still are. It’s become clear once again that it is my second home. Life at the office continued to be hectic but a miracle happened also: I managed to recruit two project managers to work in the DR Congo on one day. I still haven’t digested that. So it was a treat to take a sun-filled stroll in my beloved Botanical Gardens late this afternoon.

Ich hatte nicht als einzige den Gedanken… aber außer mir interessierte sich niemand für den stumpfblättrigen Ahorn, dem ich gerade erst Montag noch einen Blitzbesuch abgestattet hatte. Und das machen 4 Tage aus (DIESE beiden Fotos sind von heute):

I wasn’t the only one there… but no one else was interested in the Bosnian maple that I had last visited this Monday. And this is how much of a difference 4 days make (THESE two pictures are from today):
