Eine Woche noch! Da werden die Vorbereitungen jetzt konkreter: ich habe heute morgen mal die Schränke nach diversen Fanartikeln durchwühlt und festgestellt, dass ich ganz gut ausgestattet bin. Da diese WM kein Anlass für den Hersteller meiner Lieblingsschokoladenriegel ist, durch das Sammeln von Punkten ein Trikot erwerben zu können, muss das von 2006 herhalten. Das mit dem Lieblingsriegel überlege ich mir noch. Aber ist eh hilfreich für das regelmäßig montäglich an dieser Stelle beschriebene Vorhaben.

One week to go! And the preparations reach a new level of urgency: I went through my cupboards this morning checking for the pieces of my fan attire – and realized I’m all set. Apparently, this World Cup is not worthy of a campaign to collect „points“ by purchasing my favorite chocolate bars in order to earn a World Cup Shirt. Well, tough luck, the 2006 shirt will do. And I’m reconsidering the favorite chocolate bar issue. It does help with the other endeavour that finds regular updates here every Monday…

Aber seid ihr ausgestattet? Letztes Jahr habe ich den schwarz-rot-goldenen Schminkstift ja besonders zu schätzen gelernt. Ob es letztlich der Cowboyhut wird oder doch die Baseball-Kappe, hängt dann wahrscheinlich von Veranstaltung und Wetter ab. Diese und andere Gedanken gingen mir durch den Kopf, als ich gestern vor einer Auswahl Fan-Artikel stand. Das wäre doch ein Freebie!

Are you equipped? I very much appreciated the black-red-gold make-up last year. If I choose the cowboy hat or the baseball cap after all will very much depend on event and weather I guess. These and other thoughts crossed my mind when I was standing in front of a display of fan articles yesterday. How’s that for a freebie?
