Von Sainte Marie habe ich nicht viel gesehen, denn ich habe hauptsächlich geschlafen und gelesen. Und unglaublich gut gegessen. In einem wunderbaren Hotel, der EcoLodge Ravoraha – in einem Baumhaus.

Sainte Marie… I didn’t see much of because I mainly slept and read books. And had incredibly good food. All this in the wonderful EcoLodge Ravoraha – in a treehouse.

Da habe ich mich eigentlich zwei Tage nicht wegbewegt. Noch nicht mal an den Strand. Zu anstrengend. Außerdem schlabberten die Wellen ja fast bis unter den Baumhausbalkon. Ich habe Geckos beim Revierkampf beobachtet. Oder beim Vorspiel?

I basically didn’t move from that treehouse for two days. Not even to the beach. Too much. And then the waves come up until right under the balcony. I watched geckos fighting. Or at foreplay?

Und dann die Sonnenuntergänge über Madagaskar…

Dann doch noch Spaziergänge am Strand:

Zu einem klitzekleinen Ausflug konnte ich mich dann doch noch aufraffen, zum Piratenfriedhof:

And then I did rally for at least one little excursion, to the pirates‘ cemetery:
