Das Wetter war gut (heißt, hauptsächlich, bis auf wenige tatsächlich sonnige Stunden heute Vormittag: trocken). Ich hatte ein Wochenende ganz zu meiner Verfügung und bis auf die Besorgung einiger Dinge und ein bisschen Putzen stand nichts dringendes auf dem Plan.
The weather has been good (read: dry, safe some precious hours this morning when the sun shone from a bright blue sky). I had a weekend all to myself and nothing was on the agenda apart from running a few errands and doing some cleaning.
Zum ersten Mal seit Wochen wollte ich mich auf’s Fahrrad schwingen und hatte den glorreichen Gedanken, eine Brückentour am Rhein entlang zu machen. Mein Hirn war wahrscheinlich zu entspannt, um einen Bezug zu einem kürzlich geschriebenen Eintrag zur Situation an der Ahr herzustellen. Aber Gott sei Dank kam mir immerhin der Gedanke, am Alten Zoll mit einem Blick über den Rhein anzufangen.
For the first time in weeks I felt like vaulting my tired body on my bike and had the glorious idea to go on a tour of the bridges along the Rhine. It must be that my brain was too relaxed for once to make a connection with my recently published entry on the situation along the Ahr river. As luck would have it, I decided to start out with a view of the Rhine at Alter Zoll.
Kurzentschlossen entschied ich mich gegen eine Radtour und wurde stattdessen kreativ aktiv. Wobei man sich da schon die Frage stellen kann, warum mein Wohnzimmer im Chaos endete, obwohl ich nun eine fantastische Bastelecke habe.
On a whim, I decided against a bike tour and instead indulged in creative activities. Of course the question does arise why my living room ended up in chaos even though I now have my fantastic creative corner.
Das ist aber ganz einfach: in der Basteleckee ist kein Fernseher und das ist zu Zeiten von Wintersportübertragungen kein Zustand. So wurde das Wochenende so produktiv wie nie. Lauberhorn-Abfahrt: basteln, 1. Lauf Riesenslalom Maribor: basteln, beim Rodeln Badezimmer putzen, Biathlon aus Ruhpolding: basteln, beim Viererbob Küche putzen
etc. Gekocht wurde beim Skeleton glaube ich.
It’s not that hard to figure out, though: there’s no TV in my creative corner and in times of all day winter sports broadcasts that doesn’t work. So the weekend turned out to be one of the most productive on record. Men’s downhill in Wengen: make cards, first run of women’s giant slalom in Maribor: make cards, clean bathroom for the length of the luge broadcast, biathlon in Ruhpolding: make cards, bob competition: clean kitchen, etc. I think I made some lunch when it was time for skeleton.
Das Ergebnis dieses Wochenendes kann zu großen Teilen hier gefunden werden. Wünsche einen schönen Restsonntag und hoffe auf einen spannenden Tatort!

Die Frühjahrskreativität schlägt zu, ich habe die Zirbeldrüse ausgehebelt. Nach wie vor nähere ich mich der sowas wie professionellen Nutzung von COPIC Markers (mit denen man u.a. vorgebenene Stempel farblich gestalten kann) und habe da einige Karten gebastelt. Was liegt also näher, als eine neue Verlosung zu starten, ein Freebie anzubieten?
